Key areas of SafeFood India

Development of Blended Learning Modules on Food Safety Management Systems

Blended Learning uses a mix of learning technologies that include CD- or web-   based trainings, online-coaching and face-to-face training courses.
Some of the modules will relate to the specific context of India, others will be such that they can be used also in other Asian countries.

Training of a pool of trainers

A group of professionals with a food technology / science background and experience in modern food safety/quality management methods will be trained using the Blended Learning Modules.
Once participants have worked through the online modules a face-to-face training course will focus on group work and practical applications of the acquuired knowledge and skills in food factories. Participants will be required to develop a food safety system for a client and present it to a business partner in the EU.

The development of a Roadmap to export of fresh and processed foods to the European Union

The roadmap is aimed at entrepreneurs and will help them to take a step by step approach to export, understanding in particular mandatory and non-mandatory requirements to export and to find resources quickly which they need for export:

  • counselling,
  • market entry support,
  • export-financing and
  • in-market assistance.

The training product will be available to training providers

Through the collaboaration with key stakeholders in the field of food safety in Europe and India the quality of the training product will be assured.
